Demo Video

Here is a quick video to show how to use the Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater.

Overview

This versatile kitchen tool is designed to make grating and slicing cheese, fruits and vegetables effortless and efficient. Each rotation of the drum cuts the food 12 times, making the grater significantly more efficient than a traditional knife or mandoline slicer. Equipped with 4 interchangeable stainless steel drums, it’s perfect for creating a variety of textures and cuts from your favorite foods.

Components

Let’s familiarize ourselves with the components of the grater:

  • The body: Provides stability and support during use.
  • The upper housing: Where you’ll insert the interchangeable drums for grating.
  • The 4 drums: Angel-hair grater, medium grater, coarse grater, and slicer.
  • The handle: Offers a comfortable grip for easy operation.
  • The pusher: For feeding vegetables/fruits into the hopper for cutting.
  • The cleaning brush: To clean the drums after use.

  2. Assemble the Upper Housing: Slot the upper housing into the top of the body until it clicks into position. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater How to Use
  3. Attach a Drum and Handle: Choose a drum and insert it into the upper housing, ensuring the narrow end goes through the hole at the back. Attach the handle to the end of the drum and turn its screw cap clockwise to lock it into the drum. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater How to Use
  4. Start Grating: Load the food into the hopper, push it down with one hand, and turn the handle clockwise with the other hand to start grating. When the food becomes shorter, use the pusher to drive it into the hopper. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater How to Use
Tips:
  1. You can place a plate in front of the grater to catch the grated vegetables.
  2. If the food is too large, trim it to fit into the hopper.
  3. Sometimes thin pieces of vegetables might end up between the drum and the transparent housing, which can prevent the drum grater from working correctly. When this happens, unlock the drum, remove the vegetable pieces, reinstall the drum, then continue.

Types of Foods and Produce to Use

The grater is perfect for grating and slicing the following types of foods for pizza toppings, salads, cauliflower rice, hash browns, coleslaw, tacos, smoothies, desserts, baking, and more:

  • Cheese: Use medium-hard and hard cheese for best results, such as cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, romano, mascarpone, and other moderately firm cheeses. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater grating cheese
  • Vegetables: Use firm, solid vegetables (with no hollow insides or hard seeds) such as zucchini, carrot, cucumber, potato, radish, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower, apple, pear, etc. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater grating and slicing vegetables
  • Nuts: Peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashew nuts, macadamias, etc. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater to crush nuts

Brieftons PerfectCut Food Chopper – How to Use

Demo Video

Here is a quick video to show how to use the Brieftons PerfectCut Food Chopper.

Overview

The Brieftons PerfectCut Food Chopper takes the hard work out of chopping vegetables and fruits. It helps you to quickly make consistent, uniform dice, sticks/chips, and wedges, from a wide variety of vegetables & fruits. It comes with 4 stainless steel blades for chopping and dicing your way to a professionally prepared meal.

Brieftons PerfectCut Food Chopper

Components

Here are the components of your chopper:

  • Press plate
  • Outer body
  • Inner body
  • Tray
  • Cleaning comb
  • 4 stainless steel blades (1/4″ blade, 3/8″ blade, 6-wedge blade, 8-wedge blade) and 4 corresponding pushers. They are color coded such that each pair of blade and pusher have the same matching color.
Components of the chopper

How to Use

Using the chopper is so simple!

  1. Insert the inner body onto the tray.
  2. Insert inner body onto tray
  3. Insert the desired blade into the top of the inner body, so that it sits flush. Make sure the side marked with “THIS SIDE UP” faces upwards.
  4. Insert blade
  5. Insert the corresponding pusher onto the blade insert. Ensure the pusher has the same color as the installed blade.
  6. Insert pusher
  7. Put the outer body onto the pusher.
  8. Put outer body
  9. Put the press plate on top, then turn it clockwise so that it locks into the pusher.
  10. Put press plate
  11. Cut the 2 ends of the vegetable flat. Now, remove the outer body, then place the vegetable vertically onto the blade. If one end of the vegetable is bigger than the other end, place the smaller end on the blade. It’s best to use your hand to push it down onto the blade initially so that the vegetable can stand firmly on the blade without falling down. This will help you chop more easily. Cut vegetable

To prevent vegetables from being stuck in the blade, make sure all edges of the vegetable are within the blade cutting area.

  12. Put the outer body on top of the vegetable, then press down on it with both hands. The faster you press, the less effort it will take. Press down

To make dice from your vegetable, first cut it into slices, then chop the slices one by one.

If the vegetable is harder (e.g. beets, sweet potatoes) cutting it first into slices will make the chopping easier. You can also microwave it for 30 – 60 seconds to soften the vegetable beforehand.

  13. Detach the tray at the bottom to get your freshly cut vegetables.
  14. Detach tray
Tip: Make sure you choose a countertop with the correct height for your height, so that you can comfortably push down on the chopper. If the countertop is too high, you might not be able to apply enough force onto the chopper to make it cut properly. Stand on a stool if your countertop is too high.

Types of Produce to Use

  • Use straight, firm vegetables.
  • If the vegetable is too long, cut it into pieces of no more than 4 inches (10 CM) in height.
  • If the vegetable is curved, cut it into straight pieces first.
  • NOT for sticky or sinewy produce.
  • NOT for over ripe or mushy produce.

What Blades to Use

Use the 2 square blades (1/4″ and 3/8″) to make vegetable dice or sticks from: Potato, cucumber, zucchini, carrot, onion, mushroom, ham

1/4 inch blade 3/8 inch blade

Use the wedge blades (6-wedge and 8-wedge) to make wedges from: Potato, orange, tomato, lemon, apple, kiwi, mushroom

6-wedge blade 8-wedge blade

How to Change Blades and Pushers

  1. Insert the desired blade into the top of the inner body, so that it sits flush. Make sure the side marked with “THIS SIDE UP” faces upwards.
  2. Insert blade
  3. Insert the corresponding pusher onto the blade insert. Make sure the pusher has the same color as the installed blade. Using an incorrect pusher (i.e. a pusher with a different color) for your blade insert might result in damages to your blade.
  4. Insert pusher
  5. Put the outer body onto the pusher.
  6. Put outer body
  7. Put the press plate on top, then turn it clockwise so that it locks into the pusher.
  8. Put press plate

How to Remove a Previously Installed Blade Insert and Pusher

  1. To remove a blade insert previously installed on the inner body, hold the blade insert at the 2 indents, and lift it up.
  2. Remove blade
  3. To remove a pusher previously installed on the outer body, turn the press plate counter-clockwise to detach it from the pusher, then push the pusher down to release it.
  4. Remove pusher Remove pusher

How to Clean the Chopper

  • It’s best to clean the chopper immediately after use.
  • Use the provided cleaning comb to clean between the spikes of the pushers, or between the blades of the blade inserts.
  • Cleaning comb
  • Disassemble the parts for easier cleaning.
  • Wash the inner body and outer body by hand. Do not put them into the dishwasher, as high temperatures in the dishwasher might cause them to warp.
  • All other parts are dishwasher safe (top rack only) up to 65°C (150°F).
  • Make sure all parts are clean and dry before storing the product in a dry area to avoid steel oxidation which can develop rusts on the blades.
Caution: The blades are sharp. Never touch them with your hands. Always hold the plastic part of the blade inserts when installing/removing them. Not to be used by children.

How to Store

To store the whole product neatly, arrange the components in this order from the top down:

  1. Press plate
  2. A pusher attached to the press plate
  3. The corresponding blade insert for the pusher, installed in the ready to use position
  4. The remaining 3 pushers
  5. The corresponding blade for the pusher at the bottom
  6. The remaining 2 blades
  7. Tray

How to Use the Salad Spinner

This video shows how to use the Brieftons QuickPush Salad Spinner:

Here is a step-by-step guide to using the salad spinner:

How to Clean the Salad Spinner

The salad spinner should be washed right after use. It is recommended that all the parts be handwashed to prolong the life of the product.

Hand Cleaning

  • Lift the lid, and pour some dish washing detergent into the basket and bowl. Use a detergent that fights grease to eliminate remnants of oils and salad dressing from the basket and bowl.
  • Run warm water into the spinner until it is at least half full. Replace the lid.
  • Push the knob down repeatedly to make the basket spin. Spinning the basket in the water loosens food remnants and forces them out of the basket.
  • Allow the basket to come to a stop. Pour water out of the bowl.
  • Dampen the rough side of a sponge. Add a small amount of dish washing detergent if desired. Swipe the sponge around the basket, concentrating on any remaining food particles that are stuck in the holes of the basket.
  • Do a final rinse to remove food particles and dish soap from the basket and the bowl.
  • Dry all pieces of the salad spinner.
  • The underside of the lid has access holes for easy cleaning of the inside of the lid. It’s recommended that the inside of the lid be cleaned occasionally to prevent mold buildups. To do so, turn the lid upside down, then run water into it through the access holes to wash away dirts and grime. If necessary, insert a small cleaning brush through the access holes to clean harder-to-reach areas inside the lid. Once done, place the lid upright to let water drain out, and let the lid air dry.

Dishwasher Cleaning

  • The lid is dishwasher safe (top rack only).
  • The basket and bowl are NOT dishwasher safe. High temperatures in the dishwasher may cause them to warp.
