Each rotation of the drum cuts the food 12 times, making the grater significantly more efficient than a traditional knife or mandoline slicer. Let’s familiarize ourselves with the components of the grater:

  • The body: Provides stability and support during use.
  • The upper housing: Where you’ll insert the interchangeable drums for grating.

How to Use the Rotary Grater

  3. Attach a Drum and Handle: Choose a drum and insert it into the upper housing, ensuring the narrow end goes through the hole at the back. Attach the handle to the end of the drum and turn its screw cap clockwise to lock it into the drum. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater How to Use
  4. Start Grating: Load the food into the hopper, push it down with one hand, and turn the handle clockwise with the other hand to start grating. When the food becomes shorter, use the pusher to drive it into the hopper. Brieftons 4-Blade Rotary Grater How to Use
Tips:
  1. You can place a plate in front of the grater to catch the grated vegetables.
  2. If the food is too large, trim it to fit into the hopper.
  3. Sometimes thin pieces of vegetables might end up between the drum and the transparent housing, which can prevent the drum grater from working correctly. When this happens, unlock the drum, remove the vegetable pieces, reinstall the drum, then continue.

How to Change Blades

  1. Turn the screw cap on the handle counter-clockwise to detach the handle from the drum.
  2. Remove the drum from the upper housing.
  3. Insert a new drum into the upper housing, ensuring its narrow end goes through the hole at the back of the upper housing.
  4. Attach the handle to the end of the drum, and turn its screw cap clockwise to lock it into the drum.

How to Clean the Rotary Grater

It is best to clean the grater immediately after use:

  1. All parts can be taken apart for easy cleaning.
  2. Turn the suction lever counter-clockwise to release the suction pad, and detach the body from the countertop.
  3. Turn the screw cap on the handle counter-clockwise to detach the handle from the drum.
  4. Remove the drum from the upper housing.
  5. Press the button at the top of the body to unlock the upper housing, then slide the upper housing forward to detach it from the body.
  6. Clean the parts under running tap water. Use dishwashing liquid if necessary.

  8. If stains occur, especially from vegetables like carrots and beets, use baking soda to remove them.
  9. All parts (except the body) are dishwasher safe (top rack). Avoid placing them near the heating element in your dishwasher.
  10. It is recommended to wash the body by hand to preserve the suction pad’s performance over time.
  11. If cheese or other greasy produce gets on the suction pad, clean it with dishwashing liquid.
  12. If water seeps into the body, lift open the edge of the suction pad to let the water flow out.

How to Disassemble the Product

  1. Hold the inside of the installed drum and turn the screw cap on the handle counterclockwise to detach the handle from the drum.
  2. Pull the drum out of the upper housing. Ensure to hold the drum carefully to avoid any injury from the sharp edges.
  3. Press the button at the top of the body to unlock the upper housing, and slide the upper housing forward to detach it from the main body.
  4. Turn the suction lever counterclockwise to release the suction pad from the countertop.

How to Store the Rotary Grater

  1. Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing in a cool, dry place.
  2. The rotary grater can be stored as a whole unit for convenient use later, or the parts can be disassembled to store in a drawer.
